First Project -

for my November Club. Thank you Andrea (http:/scissors-cut-paper.blogspot) for the inspiration. I used Top Note bigz die for the big shot; small, largest oval, 1/4" circle and word punches; sand, handsome hunter, whisper white and pumpkin pie cardstock; pumpkin pie classic ink and printed the saying off from the computer. I distressed the middle of the pumpkin to give it some dimension. When we do this in the club, we will use peanuts that need shelling in a cello bag. This was so much fun. Love spending my lunch at work this way! For the other two projects I'm thinking of doing a Christmas card and a paper tree. There are so many things I want to do, I just can't decide. Will post them when they are finished. Will be typing at you soon. (anyone recognize my little black bear?)

Finally - I'm Back

Whoa - it's been a long couple of weeks! I've had that awful stuff that's been going around for the last week and am finally feeling better. Plus I actually have my camera, flash drive and items to take pictures of in the same place! So here is what I did before I got sick.

I love glass ornaments! Instead of using acetate, I used whisper white cardstock. The one on top uses handsome hunter classic ink and the curly label punch bundle. I thru in some snow and hung the Merry Christmas with silver elastic cording. I will be dying some of the whisper white taffeta ribbon handsome hunter to finish it off.

The one underneath uses red riding hood red classic ink, square scallop punch, punches three hostess stamp set and red riding hood taffeta ribbon.

On both of them, I had to go in with a pencil and uncurl the images after they were placed in the ornament, but was able to do it without leaving any creases. And there is an image front and back with the cording glued in between. The next ones I am going to cut off the prongs and just glue the tops on.

The whisper white cardstock was easy to put into the ornament, even doubled.

Gotta add one more picture. This is my 19 year old going on 7 in his halloween costume.
Can I still say he's so cccuuuttteee or is he too old for that - Never!!

More Pictures Coming

Want you all to know I appreciate all the comments you have made about my projects. When I show them to my sweet family, I get "looks great" without them even looking! My son gives me an "it's all good mom" while he is doing one of his 10,000 texts (our bill last month had 10,000 outgoing texts from his phone. They sent the bill in a box!). You know they look really close. Any way, I'll have pictures in a couple of days-haven't had time (forlorn sigh). I did make 50-60 spiders to stick to suckers, and a bunch of tiny boxes for a gal at work. And darn, this job is so getting in the way of my stamping. Speaking of which break time is over. Type at you soon.

Time Keeps on Slipping......

Boy does it ever!!  Especially when things are going great.  My October club met last Saturday.   We had a ball.  It was kind of cold and windy out side so it was really nice being inside with friends.  We did two cards - one using the upsy daisy set and one using the season of friendship set; and a spider halloween treat.  The spider was definitely cased off of SCS and possibly the two cards as well.  I've been looking at so many ideas, it is all running together so I can't remember.  You gals on SCS are so talented - thank you all.

Here they are....

Second Time Around

I'mmmmmm back!  And still trying to figure out how to add links and "stuff" to my blog.  I can see my learning curve is not as good as I think!  It's a windy, rainy day here in WA.  So I took this opportunity to "straighten out" my craft room.  My it's amazing what you find - and I found the third project from the September club.  My October club is coming up (too fast).  As soon as I get the samples made, I'll post them here and in my gallery.  Yep - I even started a Gallery on SCS with all of 5 cards posted.  We'll be doing 2 cards (halloween and maybe Christmas) and a 3D (maybe case those cute spiders-I forgot to write down the gal's name who designed them, but I'll have it before my club meets).  Now that I've got a spot to work in my craft room and my supplies put away (sort of), I can get them made.  And on that note, I'm signing off.  Type you soon!

This Is My Blog!!

I'm jumpin' in, taking the plunge, going for it! I'm blogging! I've been an SU! demo for 5 years (yeah-walked at convention) half hobby and half business type. Actually my hubby says I'm my own best customer - and, you know, he's right! I love stamping! If it doesn't move or doesn't move fast enough, it will get stamped.

Thought I'd show you two of my September Club projects. I'd show you the third but I gave it away. We meet the first Saturday of the month (except December and August).

Let me know what you think.
