Here's Another

I did this card for my club and a gal I know who just adopted a baby boy. I had a lot of fun with it! I used tempting turquoise, whisper white, banana yellow and certain celery card stock, bashful blue striped ribbon, markers to color the stamps, and nursery necessities stamp set. You can't really tell but the sail is popped up with dimensionals and was curled around a pencil to give it some extra dimension. I also popped up the welcome baby on the inside. can't you just see, with a few changes, using this as a birth announcement?! By the way, that little guy is a cutie patootie!

Don't you just love the top note?! The card stock is brocade blue, ba'shful blue, apricot appeal and whisper white; elegant eggplant classic ink, bashful blue striped ribbon and Easter blooms stamp set. The center of the flower is an ice brad.

Hope every one's fourth was great fun.

Finally, posting some new cards-lol

Finally, I'm posting some of the cards I've been promising-lol.

I wanted to do a kind of patriotic card but don't really have any patriotic stamps. So I tore some strips and punched some stars and presto - a flag, sort of. I used real red, whisper white, brilliant blue and yoyo yellow paper. The stars were punched with Su!'s large star punch. I wanted to punch out the insides of some with the small star punch but - I didn't have it at the time (i do now-lol). A couple of the stars are popped up with dimensionals.

The card below is a very simple, yet elegant card. My club loved it! I used pumpkin pie, apricot appeal and chocolate chip card stock, only orange and chocolate chip markers, eastern blooms and on your birthday stamp sets. It is a perfect combination of colors and layer, if I do say so myself - lol. We used the markers to color the stamps instead of ink pads. Just wish I could take pictures that do it justice.

The rest will have to wait until later. It's getting late. You dads out there - happy belated father's day. Hope you all got to do whatever you wanted to do on your day!

A Beautiful Day

here in WA state.  Actually the last few days have been really nice.  Even put the top down on my miata and took a spin - love the wind in what little hair I've got-lol!

My craft room is finally cleaned up - now I just have to do some major organizing.  Look what I found when I was picking up!

This is one of my favorite cards.  I used barely banana card stock and dsp strip, oval scallop punch, handsome hunter, tango tangerine and yoyo yellow classic ink.  The stamp set is Inspired By Nature (one of my favorites).  It is a three-fold card with a band that fits around where the two sections meet.

One of my hostesses wanted to use the sock monkey on a card.  As much as I like the sock monkey, it's hard to come up with unique ideas.  I used chocolate chip, riding hood red, whisper white and barely banana card stock; basic black classic ink and various markers.  The cupcake and pennant are popped up with stamping dimensionals and corners are rounded with our corner punch.  The buttons are from our latte collection with gold cord and attached with glue dots.  She was very happy with it.

This was cased from one of SCS's galleries.  The only thing I changed were the colors.  The card stock is tangerine tango, kiwi kiss and barely banana.  I stamped with classic basic black, used various markers, scallop punch, crimper and flower assortment designer brads.  Thank you to the original designer.  It's was perfect the way it was so I didn't change it.

Happy Belated Mom's Day

Hope everyone had a great mom's day. Got calls from my kids who live out of state, a really cute card from the son who is living at home and we all went out to dinner. Best of all was the quality time spent with my family.

Below are the explosion boxes, inside and out, I demoed at my May club. Definitely got some ooos and ahs from them. Both patterns were found on the SCS. I used just some simply scrapping kits for my embellishments.

This is the first explosion box that was demoed. I liked that it had a lot of room for pictures. I used certain celery and blue bliss cardstock with a simply scrappin kit.

This is the second box I demoed. It is a little smaller and only one layer with the corners cut out. I would use this as a card, maybe with a small gift inside. I used so saffron and blue bliss cardstock with a simply scrappin kit.

Great Saturday!

I had a start on cleaning my craft room but had my stamping club Saturday. So, I'll start all over again next weekend-lol! The club went great - we did the projects below and I demonstrated two different types of explosion boxes made from simply scrapping kits. They all took advantage of Stampin Up's May paper special - purchase 3 - get one free. We had a great time!!

Take care.

Another Club Project

I've finally started cleaning up my craft room since I can't find anything I need-lol.  I'm coming across some of my projects for my club that I haven't posted yet.  Here is one of them

This is the outside and inside of one of my April club projects.  We also did  sock monkey card and an Easter card.

i'm back....

Has it really  been that long since I've posted?  You know how it is - I'll do it tomorrow until suddenly several months have gone by - lol!  So I'm going to post some of what I've been doing these past months and what I have planned for May's Club

The above two cards were some of the projects we did in my February club.  The one on the right is one of our 3" notes.  We actually made 3 different notes and a small pizza box to put them in with a few pieces of candy.  The one on the right is a valentine for a child's class.

This is one of the cards we did in March.  Every one loved the new scallop punch

Both of the cards above are 2 of the projects for May.  I cased them from 2 of the talented stampers on SCS.  Unfortunately I didn't write their names down, but thank you both.  I will be doing a scrap book or page project as well.  When I get a sample completed, I will post it.

I have more to post but it is getting late so it will have to wait till tomorrow - lol.

Take care all!
